BNT New Zealand SuperTourer leader Greg Murphy has qualified his Mike Pero Racing Holden VE Commodore fifth for the second round of the series at Ruapuna.

Murphy topped the opening practice session, before he and the M3 Racing team made some adjustments to the car and spend the second session bedding in brakes.

“The car was very good out of the gate, it was doing what I wanted it to do,” Murphy said.

“We didn’t extract the most from the tyres in the second session, because the track was heating up and it probably changed more than we expected.”
